DF Windows was founded in 1973, and has over the years become the largest manufacturer of windows and doors in the Province of Québec and one of the leading Canadian manufacturers, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2003.
From humble beginnings in a small 25,000 square foot factory, the company built a state-of-the-art 70,000 square foot sawmill in 1988-1999, increasing its total surface area to 335,000 square feet. We sell fenestration products through a large distribution network (650 clients throughout Québec, Ontario, the Maritime provinces and New England).
To manufacture high-performance windows and doors that fully meet consumer needs for the best possible value.
DF Windows manufactures a wide range of entry doors, patio doors, and wood windows, with PVC or aluminium cladding, and PVC windows for the residential home building and home renovation markets.
All our products are randomly tested in our own laboratory to ensure compliance with these certification standards.
In early 1995, DF Windows acquired Deltech Inc., of the first companies in the Province of Québec to specialize exclusively in the production of PVC windows. In February 1997, all personnel and operations were relocated to our plant in Saint-Apollinaire, which has seen steady growth since its launch in 1990.
In November 1996, after several months of discussions, company owners decided to sell their shares to JELD-WEN inc., located in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
JELD-WEN started as a small mill in 1960 and has over the years become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of building products.
With over 20,000 employees worldwide, JELD-WEN owns over 150 strategically located facilities. The company's growth is the result of 3 key factors:
The real key to our success has always been our employees and the team spirit that fuels their efforts. Satisfied customers and well made products give DF Windows a sense of pride that inspires us to work harder, more quickly and more efficiently.
